ONLINE GANTT PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how Online Gantt (“Online Gantt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit or use https://www.onlinegantt.com and related pages, features, and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).

This Service includes:
• A free, browser-based Gantt chart experience that can be used without creating an account.
• Paid features (such as “cloud” saving/sharing and other premium functionality) that require an account.
• Optional features, including integrations, and AI-assisted functionality, where offered.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.

Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:

  - Subscription status and plan details

• Project content (“Content”) for cloud or collaborative features:
  - Project names, tasks, dates, dependencies, resource names, notes, and other information you input into the Service
  - Files or attachments (if the Service supports uploading attachments)

• Payment and billing information (paid features):
  - Billing contact details (e.g., name, email, billing address)
  - Transaction details (e.g., subscription purchase date, amount, invoices/receipts)
  NOTE: Payment card information is typically collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We generally do not store full payment card numbers.

• Communications and support:
  - Messages you send us (e.g., emails, feature requests, feedback, bug reports)
  - Any information you choose to include in those communications

• AI Assistant inputs (if you use AI features):
  - Prompts you enter and any Content you ask the AI feature to analyze, transform, summarize, or modify
  - The AI feature’s outputs, as returned to you

B. Information we collect automatically
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect:

• Device and connection data:
  - IP address
  - Browser type and version, device type, operating system
  - Language settings, approximate region, and time zone

• Usage data:
  - Pages or screens viewed, features used, clicks and actions in the Service
  - The date/time and duration of activity
  - Referring/exit pages and general navigation patterns

• Cookies and similar technologies:
  - We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, maintain sessions, and measure performance.
  - We use Google Analytics (and may use similar analytics tools) to understand how visitors use the Service.

If you choose to connect the Service to a third-party provider, we may receive information from that provider to deliver the integration. Depending on the integration, this may include:

• Third-party account identifiers and authorization tokens (e.g., OAuth tokens)

• Provide and operate the Service (including cloud saving/sharing, syncing, and user-requested features)

• Process subscriptions and provide customer support
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and user experience
• Understand usage and improve the Service through analytics (including Google Analytics)
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our terms and protect rights and safety
• Communicate with you about the Service (e.g., account notices, technical messages, support responses)
• Send marketing communications where permitted (you can opt out of marketing emails at any time)
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

We do not use your Content from the AI Assistant feature to train AI models.

4) HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION (CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS)
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

A. Service providers and vendors
We may share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as providers for:
• Website/app hosting and content delivery
• Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Payment processing and subscription billing
• Customer support tools (e.g., ticketing/email)
• Security, fraud prevention, and monitoring
• AI service providers (for AI features, where used)

These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.

B. Integrations and third-party services you choose
If you connect a third-party integration, we share and receive information as needed to provide the integration you requested, consistent with the permissions you grant.

C. Other users and sharing features
If you use collaboration features (such as sharing a project with teammates or sharing a link), you may cause Content and identifying information (such as your name/email, depending on settings) to be visible to others. You are responsible for what you share and with whom.

D. Legal, safety, and rights protection
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is necessary to:
• comply with law or legal process
• respond to lawful requests (e.g., subpoenas, court orders)
• protect the security of the Service
• prevent fraud or abuse
• protect our rights, property, and safety, and the rights, property, and safety of users or others

E. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

5) COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND YOUR CONTROLS
A. Cookies and similar technologies
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where implemented, through any cookie preference tools we provide. If you disable cookies, some features may not function properly.

Online Gantt is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.

If you are located outside the United States, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

7) DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

Examples:
• Account information: retained while your account is active; after account closure, we delete or de-identify within a reasonable period unless we must retain it for legal/security reasons.
• Project Content stored in cloud features: retained until you delete it or close your account, subject to backup and legal/security retention.
• Support communications: retained as needed to handle your request and to maintain support records.
• Billing records: retained as required for accounting/tax compliance and dispute resolution.
• Security logs: retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

Backups: Copies of your information may persist in backups for a limited time as part of routine backup processes.

8) SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:

• Correction: request corrections to inaccurate personal information
• Deletion: request deletion of personal information, subject to certain exceptions

You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email. We may still send non-marketing messages (e.g., account or service notices).

10) CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Service is not directed to children under the age of majority, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
